About
I've been building ecommerce solutions since 1999. Over the past 25+ years, I've worked as a developer, merchant, agency founder, and now as an AI builder focused on the intersection of commerce and artificial intelligence.
The Journey
I started in ecommerce before the dot-com boom, writing PHP 3 sites when most people had never heard of PayPal. In 2004, I became involved with a startup ecommerce merchant while continuing freelance development work. We used osCommerce—dark days, indeed.
In 2007, I discovered Magento. It solved all our gripes with osCommerce and became the perfect platform. I actually rewrote portions of the osCommerce importer in the early versions of Magento.
In 2008, I founded Creatuity, an ecommerce development agency. We've grown from one developer (me) to a team that's shipped 500+ implementations. I wanted to create a company I would love to work for—one that balanced client success with employee happiness.
Current Focus
Today, I'm building at the intersection of ecommerce and AI:
- OpenClaw — AI operator for ecommerce teams, automating QA, deployment reviews, and operations
- Deckard — Personal AI assistant platform
- COS — Creatuity Orchestration System, a LangGraph-based UAT framework
- Commerce Today — Podcast exploring ecommerce and AI
